Having visitors can be beneficial to patients and contribute to their well-being. It can be helpful for patients to have an accompanying person with them at all times, even at night. Beds are available for relatives to stay overnight.

Visitors are asked to be considerate of the patient’s condition in the length of their visit. Please respect the patient's wishes to be alone and have time to rest. Brief, quiet visits are most helpful.

Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor needs to see the patient. We hope you will cooperate with us in caring for the needs of our patients.

It is not recommended that children visit the hospital, however on very special occasions arrangements can be made.

Visitors must leave the room by 9.30pm unless arrangements have been made for a relative to stay overnight.

Consider the kind of behaviour you would expect from your visitors if you were the patient!
