Hospital routine

The hospital day starts early for our healthcare staff. Some important tests are taken at 7.00am to monitor your condition: temperature, blood pressure, pulse and so on. Breakfast is served shortly afterwards. We take healthcare provision and hygiene standards very seriously, and therefore no exceptions can be made. The same applies to tasks such as cleaning patient rooms and changing bed linen.

The pace we work at is thought to provide the best possible care for patients admitted to hospital. In this regard, it is advisable that visitors adhere to scheduled visiting times in order to make things easier for the staff caring for patients.

Some basic checks of the patients need to be performed throughout the day. These may alter your normal routine and upset you in any way. Please be understanding. We endeavour to care for patients in the best possible way and vital sign monitoring is something we must do to gain a better insight of any change in your health and avoid any problems with your recovery.

There are occasions when some patients have to move between Units for diagnostic tests or treatments. The times at which these tests are carried out vary depending on the severity of the condition and the availability of the appropriate service. The nursing team is responsible for coordinating these services for your peace of mind.
